Western Mass Powder Coating Services

The quality of a coated product always starts with the correct surface prep. Powder coating is no different. All metals and coat able parts require a specific surface prep to assure a good a quality finish. Norpin Manufacturing can provide you with the correct surface prep regardless of what you want to have coated.

Sandblasting can be used as a cost effective way to prepare uncoated aluminum, steel, and lightly painted parts. Where previous coatings, slight imperfections or oxidation requires removal, burn off or chemical stripping of the current coating can be supplied. When dealing with chrome plated parts a brush blasting can be used to increase the bond and remove any loose plating. Once your parts are blasted they are coated within 12 hours to insure no oxidation occurs before the parts are finished.

For parts that will see constant exposure to salt spray, sunlight and the outdoor elements, we can provide you with an architectural grade zinc rich or zinc free primer. This two stage process will provide an extra level of adhesion as well as improved resistance to oxidation. Once the second coat is applied, the part will be protected by twice the average powder coat thickness and the added protection of the primer.

When dealing with aluminum parts Norpin offers aerospace grade surface prep with our extensive network of experienced finishers. Norpin is able to offer anodize and chromate for the utmost in protection and adhesion.
